The CLCDC was contacted by the Conneaut Lake Elementary School in 2019 and asked to partner with them to design, erect, and partially fund a new playground to replace one that had been removed in preparation for the renovation of the Beach in 2018.
The School was successful in obtaining a playground grant from the Bernzomatic Corporation. The CLCDC sought additional funding from the PNC Foundation, the local Kiwanis Club, and also contributed the remaining necessary funds. The $30,000.00 playground was located near the swimming beach and concession stand / changing room facility, and provides a safe location away from moving vehicles for toddlers who are visiting the beach.
